• Threw 47.87m (157-1) in the javelin to finish 12th at the Pac-12 vs. Big Ten Challenge (Mar. 24-25)

Indoor
• Earned USTFCCCA second-team All-America honors with a mark of 4119 points in the Heptathlon to finish 15th at the NCAA Indoor Championships (Mar. 10-11).
• Scored a school-record 5843 points in the Heptathlon to win at the Akron Invitational (Feb. 3-4). En route, he posted career bests in the 60m (6.84) and 60mH (8.17).
• Jumped a career-best 7.57m (24-10) in the Long Jump to win at the Notre Dame Invitational (Jan 21). Also ran 8.24 to finish fifth in the 60m hurdles.
• Ran a career-best 8.22 in the 60m hurdles prelims at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational (January 14) and came within eight centimeters of his career-best in the pole vault at 15-7.

Junior (Indoor/Outdoor) (2016)
Outdoor
• Earned All-America honors in the deepest field in NCAA history with an eighth-place finish in the Decathlon, setting a new PR and program-record of 7,917 points at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 8 and 9)
• Set a day-one personal-best with 4,162 points on the first day of competition during the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 8), and set PRs in the 400-meter run, 110-meter hurdles and 1,500-meter run on the weekend to aid his new school record, including a move from ninth to eighth place on the final event of the competition
• Competed in the long jump at the NCAA East Preliminary Round (May 26), with his best jump measuring 7.05 meters (23-1.75 ft.)
• Totaled a PR of 7,636 points in the decathlon to earn a silver medal at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships (May 13-14) in his first outdoor conference meet at the Big Ten level, aided by PRs in the 100 and 400-meter dashes and the 1,500-meter run
• Set PRs in the discus (41.01 meters; 134-6 ft.) and long jump (7.51 meters; 24-7.75 ft.) at Texas State's Bobcat Classic (April 30), and also competed in the javelin (45.33 meters; 148-9 ft.)
• In his U-M decathlon debut, broke the program record by five points, totaling 7,417 points at Georgia's Bulldog Decathlon/Heptathlon

Indoor
• At the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 11-12), totaled 5,810 points for his second career All-America honor and eighth-place finish
• At the Big Ten Championships, won his first conference title in the Heptathlon and broke his own program record, totaling 5,810 points with PRs in four of seven events, and also competed in the long jump
• Set a new personal record in the pole vault at the SPIRE NCAA D1 Invitational (Feb. 13), clearing a height of 4.73 meters (15-6.25 ft.)
• Finished third in his first Heptathlon of the season at the Akron Invitational (Feb. 5-6), setting a pair of new PR's to total 5,514 points over the weekend
• Finished second in the long jump with a jump of 7.24 meters at the Notre Dame Invitational (Jan. 23)
• Competed in three events at the Doug Raymond Invitational (Jan. 16), finished fifth in the shot put with a personal best 12.25 meters (40-02.25 ft.), finished fifth in the pole vault (4.45m, 14-07.25 ft.) and third in 60m hurdles (8.70)
