NAMPA, Idaho -- On the final day of the NCAA Indoor Championships, the University of Michigan men's track and field team was led by second team All-America marks from the 4x400-meter relay team and junior/sophomore Ethan Dennis (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grandville) in the weight throw on Saturday (March 10) at Boise State's Jackson's Indoor Track at the Idaho Center.
In his first appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships, Dennis, who was the 16th and final seed entering the competition, recorded a mark of 19.36 meters (63-6.25) to finish 14th overall. Dennis became Michigan's first All-American in the weight throw in program history.
The 4x400-meter relay team, which included sophomore Michael Parker Jr. (Jackson, Mich./Michigan Center), senior/junior Nick Neuman (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East), junior Aaron Taylor (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester Adams) and sophomore Ali Arastu (Northville, Mich./Northville), clocked a time of 3:11.20 to finish 10th in a field of 12 teams.
Michigan will now turn its focus to outdoor track and field season, starting with the USC Trojan Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 23-24.
