ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Senior Jack Greenlee (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) of the University of Michigan men's track and field team was named to the Capital One Academic All-District V first team today (Thursday, May 30) as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. He will now appear on the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected in June.

Greenlee, who represented the Wolverines as a 2013 team captain, was named Michigan's 2013 male Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient. The 2012 Big Ten outdoor pole vault champion finished fourth at the 2013 indoor conference meet.

A business administration major in the prestigious Stephen M. Ross School of Business, Greenlee is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten recipient and four-time U-M Athletic Academic Achievement honoree and was a 2012 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. A student-athlete must also have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games and have completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
