Sophomore/Freshman (2016-17)
• NCAA All-American, 165 pounds
• Claimed third place in debut at the NCAA Championships (March 16-18) with a 5-1 record; defeated Wisconsin's Isaac Jordan, 11-2, in the NCAA third-place match
• Reached the NCAA semifinals after a 9-0 major decision vs. Arizona State's Anthony Valencia in the quarterfinals
• Took runner-up honors at the Big Ten Championships (March 4-5) with a 2-1 mark; fell to Illinois' #1 Isaiah Martinez, 10-4, in the championship match
• Posted a 14-1 dual-meet record, including a 7-1 mark in Big Ten duals
• Earned bonus points in 22 of 32 wins; ranked among national leaders with 12 technical falls
• Captured the 165-pound title at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 2-3) with a 6-0 record; defeated Wisconsin's #2 Isaac Jordan, 8-7, in the championship match

• Captured the 165-pound title at the Michigan State Open (Nov. 15) with a 4-0 record; pinned Purdue's Chad Welch (1:09) in the championship match
• Captured the 165-pound title at the Eastern Michigan Open (Nov. 7) with a 5-0 record; defeated Indiana's Devin Skatzka, 15-5, in the final
• Earned a 17-2 technical against Findlay's Nic Skonieczny for first collegiate win at the EMU Open
