ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan wrestling team has canceled this Sunday's (Nov. 1) annual Maize and Blue Intrasquad following a death in the U-M wrestling family. The event will not be rescheduled.
Eric and Deb Beaudry, parents of senior/junior Mark Beaudry (Pueblo, Colo./South HS), were killed in a plane crash on Friday (Oct. 23) while en route to the dedication ceremony for the new wrestling facility. The Beaudry family has established a scholarship fund in their name.

Wrestle-offs are scheduled to begin next week in the Wolverine practice room and will be closed to the public. Michigan's starting lineup will be announced at a later date.
The Wolverines will open the 2009-10 season at the Eastern Michigan Open on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Ypsilanti, Mich. Michigan wrestlers will compete unattached at the annual open tournament, scheduled for a 9 a.m. start at Bowen Field House.
