INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- University of Michigan sophomore/freshman Conor Youtsey (Parma, Mich./Mason HS) and sophomore Rossi Bruno (Brandon, Fla./Brandon HS) earned at-large bids to the NCAA Wrestling Championships when the 45 at-large selections and brackets were announced Wednesday (March 12). The Wolverines will have eight representatives at the NCAA tournament.

Youtsey carries a 19-11 record in his rookie campaign and owns wins over three members of the NCAA field at 125 pounds. He earned a seventh-place finish at the Big Ten Championships. He will wrestle Pittsburgh's 13th-seeded Anthony Zanetta in the first round. Bruno is 19-14 this season with wins over five members of the NCAA field at 133 pounds. He will face Cornell's 15th-seeded Mark Grey in the first round.

Joining Youtsey and Bruno at the NCAA Championships will be U-M's six automatic qualifiers who all placed among their weight classes' allocated number at last weekend's Big Ten Championships.

Five Wolverines earned seeds at their respective weights, most notably freshman heavyweight Adam Coon (Fowlerville, Mich./Fowlerville HS), who will enter the NCAA Championships with the No. 4 seed despite a disappointing finish at the Big Ten tournament. Coon boasts a 30-3 record in his rookie campaign and owns tournament titles at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and Midlands Championships. He will face Oklahoma's Ross Larson in the first round.

Fifth-year senior Eric Grajales (Brandon, Fla./Brandon HS) and freshman Domenic Abouander (Gates Mills, Ohio/St. Edward HS) earned No. 9 seeds at 149 and 184 pounds, respectively. Grajales reached the Round of 12 in two of his previous NCAA tournament appearances. He will face Kent State's Michael DePalma in the first round. Abounader is coming off a third-place finish at the Big Ten Championships, which featured wins over three higher-ranked opponents. He will wrestle Arizona State's Blake Stauffer in the first round.

Senior/junior Steve Dutton (Miller Place, N.Y./Rocky Point HS) and fifth-year senior Dan Yates (Hesperia, Mich./Hesperia HS) rounded out the Wolverines' seeded wrestlers with No. 13 seeds at 141 and 165 pounds, respectively. Dutton, who missed the first half of the season with injury, claimed fourth place at the Big Ten tournament. He wrestles Iowa's Josh Dziewa in the first round. Yates qualified for his fourth NCAA Championships after claiming seventh at the Big Ten tournament. He faces North Carolina's John Staudenmayer in the first round.

Despite placing fourth at the Big Ten Championships, freshman Brian Murphy (Carol Stream, Ill./Glenbard North HS) did not receive a seed at 157 pounds. He will wrestle his weight's pigtail match against Oklahoma's Justin Deangelis; the winner of that match will face Penn State's Dylan Alton.

The NCAA Championships are scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, March 20-22, at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Okla.
