Nov. 22, 2016

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan wrestling head coach Joe McFarland announced Tuesday (Nov. 22) that eight student-athletes -- Andrew Davison, Jelani Embree, Ben Freeman, Drew Mattin, Zachery Nemec, Nikita Nepomnyashchiy, Luke Ready and Layne Van Anrooy -- have signed National Letters of Intent during the early signing period to attend Michigan and compete in wrestling next fall.

"We're really excited about this class," said McFarland. "It's a big group of high-quality and high-character young men, who are committed to competing hard on the mat and in the classroom. Those are the kind of student-athletes we want here at Michigan. I think they're going to add a lot to our program and do some great things in the future."
