Legendary U-M Swimmer Passes Away

Reeve Bailey, professor emeritus of biology and curator of fishes emeritus at the University of Michigan Museum of Zoology, passed away on July 2 at the age of 100. He was Michigan men's swimming and diving's oldest living alumnus prior to his death. He was congratulated during a 100th birthday celebration at the Eric Namesnik Michigan Grand Prix swim meet earlier this spring. Bailey, a U-M alumnus who swam on the 1933 Big Ten championship team, turned 100 on May 2.
