USA's Geena Gall (2006-09) qualified for the 800m semifinals, while American Jeff Porter (2004-07) took fifth in his 100m hurdles semis heat and Canadian Nicole Sifuentes (2005-08) finished 11th in the 1,500m semifinals. More [+]

Twenty-two athletes with ties to the University of Michigan, including current gymnasts Sam Mikulak and Syque Caesar and swimmer Connor Jaeger, competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics. Also on official delegations as coaches in London were three current Wolverine coaches, two former mentors, and a former student-athlete. Together they are representing 10 countries: United States (15), Canada (4), Bangladesh (1), Barbados (1), Great Britain (1), Ireland (2), New Zealand (1), Nigeria (1), Serbia (1) and Turkey (1).
