U-M returns four starters from its 20-win team last season -- headlined by captain and four-year starter Nicole Elmblad as well as leading scorer Shannon Smith, point guard Siera Thompson and forward Cyesha Goree -- and welcomes heralded incomer Katelynn Flaherty.
Nicole Elmblad was named to the Capital One Academic All-America second team, becoming just the second Wolverine in program history to earn Academic All-America honors.

The Wolverines will rely on a talented group of young athletes and some new faces for the 2013-14 season, which officially begins with a home exhibition contest on Nov. 1 against Wayne State.
Michigan had seven players score in double figures, led by Nicole Elmblad's 20 points, as the Wolverines dominated Slippery Rock in an exhibition contest, 106-35.
