• For the 12th straight game, the Wolverines used the starting lineup of Jenny Ryan, Nicole Elmblad, Kate Thompson, Rachel Sheffer and Nya Jordan. Michigan is 10-2 with this lineup.

• Michigan had its 10-game winning streak snapped, which was tied for the longest in program history.

• Tonight's matchup was the 38th meeting between Michigan and Penn State. The Wolverines now hold a 9-29 all-time record in the series. Michigan's last win against the Lady Lions came on Jan. 31, 2010 (66-62).

• Scoring 20 points tonight, Rachel Sheffer has passed the 1,000-point milestone. The last Wolverine to accomplish this was Carmen Reynolds, who scored her 1,000th point on Dec. 20, 2011, in a win against Illinois. Sheffer now has 1,012 career points.

Rachel Sheffer recorded a double-double, posting 20 points and 10 rebounds. It is her second double-double of the season and the fourth of her career.

• This was the 11th time this season that Rachel Sheffer has posted at least 10 points and her second game with at least 20 points.

Kate Thompson has blocked a shot in five straight games.

• By dishing out five assists tonight, Jenny Ryan now has 12 games with at least five dimes. It was also her 12th straight game with a steal.

Kate Thompson recorded her 14th game of the season with at least three three-pointers.

• Michigan has been out-rebounded in two of their three losses this season. Penn State won the rebounding battle, 41-34.

Nya Jordan recorded three points and seven rebounds. It is her eighth game this season with at least seven boards.

Rachel Sheffer shot 9-12 from the line, giving her season highs in both free throw attempts and free throw makes.
