Recap |  Box Score

• Tonight's meeting between Michigan and Illinois is the lone regular-season meeting between the two teams. The teams only played once last season as well. Illinois leads the all-time series 38-22, but Michigan has won the last three meetings, including the last two at Assembly Hall.

• Tonight's road win is the second Big Ten road win of the season for Michigan. U-M was winless on the road in Big Ten action last season and only won three road games in coach Borseth's first year. Tonight's win also gives U-M more Big Ten victories than it had all last season.

• Michigan went 13 players deep and nine of those players scored at least one point. For the second time this season, Michigan played all 13 players in a game.

• For the third consecutive game, U-M outrebounded its opponent. Michigan has outrebounded its opponent in 11 games this season.

Carmen Reynolds posted her eighth consecutive game in double figures with 21 points tonight. She has scored in double figures in 15 games this season and has scored 20 or more points in three games this season.

Nya Jordan posted a career-high nine points in tonight's game.

Krista Phillips was in double figures for the first time in four games with 13 points tonight.

• Tonight's game was a bit of a homecoming for Michigan players Veronica Hicks (Chicago, Ill/Thornwood) and Sam Arnold (Medinah, Ill./Lake Park). Both Hicks and Arnold had lots of friends and family in the stands.
