Today's game was the 54th meeting between the Wolverines and Gophers. The Wolverines trail the all-time series 24-30. The loss also snapped Michigan's two-game win streak against the Gophers.
Michigan moves to 13-2 when scoring 60 or more points and moves to 12-42 when allowing an opponent to score 60 or more points.
The Wolverines extended their three-point streak to 149 consecutive games. Michigan has hit at least one three-pointer in each game since the 2005-06 season.
U-M's double-figure assist streak ended today as U-M was held to just eight assists. Michigan had posted 10 or more in each of its last five consecutive games.
Michigan was outrebounded by 11 in today's game, marking the first time in the last five games U-M has been outrebounded by more than 10. U-M moves to 0-8 when the rebounding margin is 10 or more in the opponent's favor.
There were lots of Maize and Blue in the Williams Arena crowd. Minnesota natives Courtney Boylan and Kate Thompson had lots of friends and family in the stands, and head coach Kevin Borseth also had lots of friends and family make the trip from the Upper Peninsula.
