• For the 13th time this season, U-M used the starting five of Shannon Smith, Cyesha Goree, Nicole Elmblad, Val Driscoll and Siera Thompson.

Cyesha Goree scored 19 points in the first half en route to a career-best 30 points. Her previous career high was 21 points against Eastern Michigan on Dec. 11. She is the second 30-point scorer for Michigan this season (Shannon Smith vs. Detroit, Nov. 16). It was her third straight double-double and 10th of the season.

Cyesha Goree became just the second player in U-M history to go for 30 points and 19 rebounds in a game. Abby Currier scored 33 points with 20 rebounds against Notre Dame on Jan. 20, 1979.

Siera Thompson hit one three-pointer in the game, extending her streak to 26 games with at least one three-pointer.

Nicole Elmblad grabbed 11 rebounds, her ninth double-figure rebounding game this season.

• Michigan has won five in a row against Illinois and 10 of the last 11 against the Illini. It was Michigan's first trip to Champaign since the 2011-12 season.

• U-M is now 8-1 in true road contests this season, including a 5-1 record in Big Ten games.

• Michigan wore its maize uniforms with pink trim as part of Illinois' pink game.

• Michigan's 30 free throw attempts was a season high.

• U-M's 48 rebounds tied its season high in Big Ten games.

• Michigan's 18 assists was its highest during Big Ten play.

Paige Rakers hit a three-pointer, her 17th game with a triple this season.

• U-M is 6-1 this season when attempting at least 20 free throws.
