For the second time this year, Michigan used the starting lineup of Madison Ristovski, Shannon Smith, Siera Thompson, Nicole Elmblad and Cyesha Goree. It is the same lineup used on opening day (Nov. 8) against Bowling Green.
Sophomore Madison Ristovski was facing her younger sister, Haleigh, who is a freshman at Detroit. The two played together for three years at Liggett High School, leading their team to consecutive Class C runner-up finishes (2011, 2012).
The all-time series between Detroit and Michigan is now tied at 12-12.
Today's contest marked Michigan's first true road game of the season.
Fifth-year senior Kendra Seto scored a season-high six points. She had appeared in Michigan's previous three games but had yet to score.
