Michigan Head Coach Kevin Borseth
Opening statement ... "I think Maryland's the number six team in the country, I can see why. I think they're very good and I'm proud of the way our kids played."
On his team's game plan ... "I really felt coming into this game that we had to do a couple things because we knew transition and we knew rebounding were going to be extremely difficult because they're so strong around the basket. We thought we had to take care of it and I thought our players did a pretty good job at that. I thought we had to get rhythm shots and I we did a pretty good job at that, and were able to make them until we got to the 59-point mark, we were stuck on that for a while."
On giving Maryland a tough game ... "Down to the five-minute mark we were right there and we got stuck on 59. They turned the defense up at the five-minute mark and it got really physical at that point. We got bumped off a couple cuts, the kids might have been a bit tired, they were a little more physical than we were down the stretch, but that's how the game is played. It's a good learning experience for our kids and something that we have to build off as we move forward."
