ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team received its eighth straight postseason bid and will host Kent State in the first round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament at 7 p.m. Thursday (March 16) at Crisler Center.
Michigan received the Big Ten's automatic berth to the WNIT following a 22-9 campaign. U-M finished third in the Big Ten with an 11-5 record. Michigan has tied its program record for wins and features three double-digit scorers in Katelynn Flaherty (19.9 ppg), Hallie Thome (15.5 ppg) and Kysre Gondrezick (15.1 ppg).
Tickets will go on sale Tuesday morning (March 14) at 10 a.m. Fans may purchase online at WNIT TICKETS or by calling the ticket office at (734) 764-0247.
