PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team will appear on the Big Ten Network six times during the conference portion of the 2013-14 schedule, as announced today (Tuesday, Oct. 1) by the Big Ten Conference.
U-M will kick off the conference slate on the Big Ten Network, taking on Ohio State in Columbus on Jan. 5. Other television contests for Michigan include home games against Michigan State (Jan. 12), Illinois (Jan. 18), Purdue (Feb. 9) and Iowa (Feb. 22). The Maize and Blue wrap ups the season on BTN at Penn State on March 1.
For the seventh consecutive season, every game of the Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament, which will take place March 6-9 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind., will be televised to a national audience. BTN will carry the first 10 games of the tournament, while the championship game will be televised by ESPN at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.
The Wolverines will play an exhibition contest against Wayne State on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. before kicking off the season against Bowling Green at Iona on Nov. 9.
