ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan field hockey will host a pair of Big Ten Conference rivals this weekend (Sat-Sun., April 6-7) at Phyllis Ocker Field as part of its annual spring exhibition schedule. The Wolverines will also hit the road for a weekend series at Louisville before wrapping up their spring docket with a home intrasquad contest.
Saturday's three-game, round-robin event begins at noon and features Wolverine games against Iowa and Northwestern, who shared second place with Michigan in the 2012 Big Ten regular-season standings. Sunday will feature 7-on-7 play among the three teams and run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
TThe Wolverines will face Ohio and Indiana in full-field play, and see 7-on-7 action against Ohio, Iowa, Michigan State and Ball State the following weekend (Sat-Sun., April 13-14) in Louisville, Ky.
U-M will conclude spring competition with the Maize and Blue intrasquad at noon on Sunday, April 21.
This weekend's games will be open to the public and free of charge.
