MESA, Ariz. -- After heavy rains and lightning stopped the start of the first round, the University of Michigan women's golf team had its first 18 holes of the Clover Cup Invitational postponed today (Friday, March 8). Today's round will be pushed to Saturday, March 9, as the 18-team field will play 36 holes. The final round remains scheduled for Sunday, March 10.

The Clover Cup is the conclusion of the Wolverines spring break training trip in Arizona. Starting for Michigan is sophomore Linda Luo (Bradenton, Fla./Lakewood Ranch HS), sophomore Lauren Grogan (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Watterson HS), junior Alyssa Shimel (Pemberville, Ohio/Eastwood HS), freshman Catherine Peters (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence HS) and junior Alicia Weber (Northville, Mich./Northville HS).

Junior Yugene Lee (Athens, Ga./Oconee County HS), junior Chelsea Pezzola (Bradenton, Fla./Saint Stephens Episcopal Prep), sophomore Devon Compton (Rochester Hills, Mich./Stoney Creek HS) and freshman Ella Pendy (Grosse Pointe, Mich./Grosse Point South HS) will compete as individuals.
