Alumni Spotlight: Sarah Cain (Women's Gymnastics)

Sarah Cain is in her second year as the team's volunteer assistant coach.

Originally from Grand Island, Neb., Cain remains one of the most successful gymnasts in school history. She competed for Michigan and head coach Bev Plocki from 1997-2000, winning six Big Ten individual titles, seven NCAA regional titles and earning 12 NCAA All-America honors, the third-most by any gymnast in the history of the program. She was a two-time Big Ten Gymnast of the Year (1997, 2000) and was the University of Michigan Female Athlete of the Year in 2000. She graduated in 2000 with a B.A. in organizational studies.

Cain is the owner of Day 1 Photography, a company specializing in newborn, infant, child and family photography in the Ann Arbor and surrounding areas.

She lives in Ann Arbor with her fiance, Jake, and their children, Jake, Kellan and Scarlett.
