The University of Michigan women's gymnastics team (0-0) unveils the 2010 roster at the annual Maize and Blue Intrasquad on Saturday (Dec. 12) at 7 p.m. at Crisler Arena. This fun event pits Michigan gymnast against Michigan gymnast in a meet decided by celebrity judges. Former Michigan football great Jamie Morris, noted author and radio personality John Bacon and the hosts of the Michigan Insider on 1050 WTKA, Sam Webb and Ira Weintraub, will be in attendance to judge the intrasquad.
Join us at Crisler Arena for the free Maize and Blue Intrasquad. Posters and schedule cards will be given away and the entire team will hold an autograph session following the meet.

Michigan Ranked 12th in the GymInfo Preseason Poll
The Wolverines are ranked 12th in the Gyminfo Preseason Coaches' Poll, second among Big Ten programs behind No. 11 Penn State but ahead of Illinois, Ohio State, Minnesota, Michigan State and Iowa. The Wolverines advanced to their 18th straight NCAA Regional in 2009, competing in the South Central Regional at Arkansas.

Three freshmen join the Wolverine lineup this season: Natalie Beilstein, Brittnee Martinez and Katie Zurales. Natalie hails from Butler, Pa. (home of head coach Bev Plocki!), is a six-time state champion and is one of three adopted children in a family of seven kids. Brittnee is from Colorado Springs, Colo., was a 2009 state, regional and USAG national champion on the uneven bars. Katie is from Wheaton, Ill., was a two-time national team member and 2007 USAG national champion on vault.
Oh Captain, My Captain
The team named its three captains for the 2010 season: senior Kelsey Knutson, senior Jordan Sexton and junior Trish Wilson.
