101 Ways to Get to Know Women's Lacrosse: 73-70

Jan. 3, 2013

Every-other week, the women's lacrosse staff will countdown 101 ways to help you get to know the program before the first team steps foot on campus in August 2013. Go Blue!

As the holiday season comes to a close and we begin a new year, coach Ulehla and coach Valore share their favorite holiday memories and what they're looking forward to in 2013!

73. Favorite holiday gift received ...
"I had many fantastic gifts, but the one I will get the most use out of has to be the Keurig coffee brewer. This is a one-cup coffee maker that is fast and convenient. No more fiddling with filters, water or even the coffee. Just insert the K cup and press start and in seconds you have a freshly brewed cup of coffee ... aahhh." - Coach Ulehla
"My favorite gift this year is a jewelry piece that is being designed for me that will include diamonds from my mom's old wedding band and both of my grandmothers' wedding bands. I'm looking forward to owning such a sentimental piece that will forever have a very special place in my heart." - Coach Valore

72. Favorite holiday memory ...
"There were many memorable holiday moments, but my favorite was seeing my mom for the first time since August. It was a wonderful feeling to be home." - Coach Ulehla
"I made a lot of wonderful holiday memories, but meeting up with seven of my college friends and teammates from JMU was right there at the top if the list. It's been a while since a group of us that big has been able to get together and we had a blast making another great memory! We all have a very special bond and friendship and I am truly grateful to have them in my life." - Coach Valore

71. How they spent their holiday ...
"I spent Christmas Day with my immediate family in Ann Arbor then we flew out to Los Angeles on Dec. 26 to be with the rest of my family. It was a glorious family reunion. New Year's Eve was spent in the hot tub and New Year's Day started off by watching the Rose Bowl Parade and then of course the Michigan Wolverines in the Outback Bowl. Overall a great holiday. I am very blessed. " - Coach Ulehla
"Relaxing. Catching up and spending quality time with friends and family. Hanging with my favorite nephew. Eating fabulous food. Being merry. Enjoying the City of Brotherly Love. It was a perfect holiday break!" - Coach Valore

70. New Year's resolution ...
"My New Year's resolution for 2013 is to be happy, healthy and strong." - Coach Ulehla
"I have a few this year, but one of my New Year's resolutions is to get into great shape before Team One arrives this fall. Hopefully by sharing this resolution with all of you it will help keep me accountable!" - Coach Valore
