Following the signing of U-M's second recruiting class, all 10 members are being featured in a student-athlete spotlight, breaking down each future Wolverine, on and off the field.
Gigi Packard earned her first varsity letter as a junior in 2013 and will play her final season at Thayer Academy (Braintree, Mass.) this spring. Packard was high school teammates with current Wolverine Caroline Fitzpatrick in 2013.
Packard has helped lead the Tigers to a 39-5 record over three seasons, including perfect 15-0 and 14-0 records in her freshman and sophomore years, respectively. Following her junior season in 2013, Packard received Under Armor All-America Underclassman honors for the New England region.
This right-handed midfielder also participated in club lacrosse for Revolution Lacrosse. She helped lead her team to victory at The Chill, The Northeast Challenge and Lax for the Cure tournaments in 2013. In addition to lacrosse, Packard was a four-year member of the soccer team at Thayer.
Off the field, Packard is a consistent member of the Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honor Society.
