ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The inaugural University of Michigan Women's Lacrosse Summer Camp is scheduled for June 30-July 3 at Mitchell Fields. The camp is designated for girls entering grades 7-12.
The Michigan Lacrosse Camp is designed for players who are looking to develop their skills, overall concepts and understanding of the game. Each individual will be placed in a skill group and on a team according to age and level. Each day of camp will feature individual skill breakdown, offensive and defensive concepts, small-game situations, full-field scrimmages, tournaments and games.
The camp is under the direction of U-M head coach Jennifer Ulehla and her assistant coach Jen Valore. Women's varsity lacrosse was instated at U-M on May 25, 2011. The program's first season will be in spring 2014.
The cost of the camp is $450 for overnight campers and $375 for commuters. Registration is online only, using the link above. Registration closes on June 15. There is a $25 discount for "early birds" who sign up by May 1. A multiple camper discount ($25) is available for for two or more campers from the same family. Multiple camper and early bird discounts can be compounded.
Camp check-in takes place in the afternoon on June 30, while check-out is in the late morning on July 3.
