ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's lacrosse team will hold open tryouts for all interested and enrolled female students on Friday, Sept. 20, at 4:30 p.m. inside Oosterbaan Field House. All participants must provide their own equipment, including mouth guard, goggles, stick and footware appropriate for FieldTurfTM.
All interested students must email Janet Hinz (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Thursday, Sept. 19, at noon with their name and U-M ID number to notify the staff of intent to participate in the open tryout.
The medical requirements for a student looking to try out are as follows:
Signed WAIVER FORM for prospective student-athlete non-rostered walk-on participants (see attached document)
Proof of Sickle Cell Trait test OR signed sickle cell trait testing waiver (see attached document)
Pre-participation exam completed by a physician (MD or DO) done within the last 6 months, clearing them for full participation in tryouts
Copy of front and back of current health insurance card
