101 Ways to Get to Know Women's Lacrosse: 81-78

Dec. 6, 2012

Every-other week, the women's lacrosse staff will countdown 101 ways to help you get to know the program before the first team steps foot on campus in August 2013. Go Blue!

81. Other than lacrosse, what is your favorite sport to watch?
"Basketball, basketball and more basketball. I love how similar yet different it is from lacrosse." - Coach Ulehla
"I love to watch basketball. My dad is a basketball coach and I grew up watching hoops on TV and going to his basketball games -- the court is where I first fueled my competitive spirit! Not only is it a fun and exciting game to watch, but the strategy and fundamentals behind basketball mirrors lacrosse very closely, and so I think I also enjoy it because of that. - Coach Valore

80. What is one of your favorite quotes?
"Courage doesn't always roar, sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow." - Unknown - Coach Ulehla
"Doubt yourself and doubt everyone you see. Judge yourself and you see judges everywhere. But if you listen to the sound of your own voice, you can rise above doubt and judgment and you can see forever." - Coach Valore

79. What is the most played song on your iPod?
"If I actually played my iPod, the song would definitely have to be Tommy Tutone's 8-6-7-5-3-0-9 Jenny (Ha-Ha)." - Coach Ulehla
"Most likely something by Beyoncé. I use my iPod mostly when I work out and Beyoncé gets me moving!" - Coach Valore

78. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
"Piano, I have always dreamed of being able to play." - Coach Ulehla
"I would learn to play the guitar. I took a couple lessons a few years ago, but never followed through. The ability to play a musical instrument is an absolutely beautiful talent and I've always loved to sing and I think being able to pick up the guitar and sign along to my own music would be great fun!" - Coach Valore
