PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- The first varsity four boat for the University of Michigan women's rowing team shared the Big Ten Boat of the Week award with Ohio State's first varsity eight, it was announced today (Tuesday, April 9) by the conference office. The Wolverines' 1V4 earned the weekly accolade after sweeping head-to-head races against No. 13 Notre Dame and Tennessee this past weekend.

The 1V4 beat the Irish by 17 seconds (7:58.72) and topped the Lady Volunteers by nearly 30 seconds (8:37.75). The crew consisted of coxswain Hannah Sherman, stroke Andrea Johnson, Alex Ohman, Allison Boss and bow Hannah Moscati.

The 1V4 boat is unbeaten in four races this regular season, beating Michigan State, Iowa, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

This is the second straight week that a Wolverine boat has been recognized by the Big Ten. Last week, the first varsity eight was named the Boat of the Week for its performance against Michigan State and Iowa.
