The University of Michigan rowing team will make its fall debut with an exhibition regatta against Michigan State and Notre Dame on Sunday (Sept. 15) at Belleville Lake. U-M will compete in three exhibition regattas at Belleville Lake during the fall season. Michigan will host Ohio State on Oct. 6 and will hold the annual Belleville Classic on Nov. 1 to conclude the exhibition schedule.
Michigan is coming off of the program's sixth straight NCAA Championships appearance. The Wolverines finished second at the 2013 Big Ten Championships.
Senior port/starboard Bryna Oleshansky, a 2013 all-conference second team selection, leads an experienced U-M squad that includes six of nine returners from the first varsity eight that competed at NCAAs.
The Wolverines also return seven of nine members of the second varsity eight and four of five from the first varsity four after graduating only two rowers and two coxswains from the Big Ten racing squad.
This race will mark the Michigan debut for graduate student Amanda Elmore, who won two world championships for USRowing in Under-23 competition.
