With her first-half goal, Nkem Ezurike is now six goals away from becoming the school's all-time leading goal scorer. She has 39 career goals. Kacy Beitel (1997-00) is the program's leader with 44. Ezurike also has 93 career points.
Holly Hein became the eighth different player to score at least one goal and 13th different player to record at least one point this season.
Madisson Lewis made her first career start. She had played in the first four matches, coming off the bench.
Shelina Zadorsky recorded her fourth assist in five matches to start the season. It is already a single-season high for her (previous was three in 2010 and 2012).
