Michigan is 12-3-2 all-time against Iowa.
Michigan set a new season high in shots (24). Its previous season high was 21 against Fordham on Aug. 17.
This was Michigan's second overtime match of the season and first match in double overtime.
Tonight's attendance of 1,068 is the fourth-highest attended match at the U-M Soccer Stadium (women's matches only).
With Friday night's shutout, Haley Kopmeyer now has seven individual shutouts on the season, a new individual career high. In addition, she is second all-time in program history for most shutouts in a career (23). The program leader for career shutouts is Suzie Grech (2000-03), who had 25.
The draw is Michigan's ninth shutout of the season. The last time the Wolverines had nine shutouts in a season was 2006 (nine). The program record for most shutouts in a season is 12, set in 2001.
The Wolverines are unbeaten in their last six matches (5-0-1). The program record for longest unbeaten streak is eight matches, accomplished Sept. 3-26, 2004.
Prior to Friday's match, Iowa had not been shutout all season.
