WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 25 -- Finally Have a Home
Hello Wolverine fans! As most of you know, we got to kick off our season last Friday in our beautiful new stadium. As a senior who has had to play on a different home field each year of my career, I was more than just a little excited to finally play in the U-M Soccer Stadium. The atmosphere was amazing throughout the entire game. With the fans being so close to the field, you could really hear the cheers and excitement. The drummers that were in the stands added an extra audio element, giving the game a bit of a beat to follow. It was a perfect environment for an exciting game.

With a lot of anticipation and a little bit of nervousness, the team took the field. We came out hard, but things just were not clicking in the first half, and we went down a goal pretty early into the game. After a good halftime talk, we regrouped and were able to battle back and bury a few in the back of the net. All three of our goals were scored by freshmen. Hopefully our young players will continue to produce offense like that! With such a promising group of new players who are getting better and better, in addition to our strong returning players, the rest of our season should be very promising.

Thanks to all of you who came out to support us and help christen the stadium! Tomorrow we head off to sunny California to play Pepperdine and USD. Wish us luck!
