WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6 -- The Wipers on the Bus Go Swish, Swish, Swish

Hello Wolverine fans! Last weekend we headed up to Evanston, Ill., to play Northwestern. Our game was played in some of the craziest weather I have ever seen. There were gale force winds and it was pouring throughout our entire game. To top it off, the temperature was only in the low 40s. We battled through the weather and played some of the best soccer we have played all season.

The trip home was a bit of a fiasco. After the game, we loaded up the bus and settled in, ready to start our journey back to Ann Arbor when all of a sudden we realized that we were not the highway -- we were turning into the parking lot of the hotel we had stayed in Friday night. We were soon informed by the bus driver that a windshield wiper blade was broken and we were going to have to wait for a new one to be delivered before we could head home. What we thought was going to take thirty minutes or an hour ended up taking almost six hours! Although we were all pretty frustrated while we were stuck on the bus, we found some fun ways to entertain ourselves. The peak of our entertainment was when Alyssa Engstrom noticed a boy dancing in his hotel room. He had the shades open and was dancing like a maniac. We got a solid three minutes of amusement before he realized we were watching him. We finally got back to Ann Arbor around 8:30 in the morning. What a long day!

This Saturday night we play Michigan State at home at 7 p.m. Come cheer us on! Go Blue!
