Nikki Nemitz is in her second year as volunteer coach for the Wolverines in 2013. Nemitz joined the U-M coaching staff after completing a successful playing career for the Maize and Blue.
Nemitz, a four-year letterwinner from 2007-10, is just one of three Wolverines in school history to earn All-Big Ten first-team honors in all four seasons. She was a three-time All-American, nabbing first-team honors as a junior (2009), second team as a senior (2010) and a third-team selection as a sophomore (2008). She was named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year in 2009 and shared Big Ten Player of the Year honors with Maggie Viefhaus in 2010.She threw one of Michigan's seven perfect games on Feb. 23, 2008, an 8-0 win over Birmingham Southern.
She plays professionally in the National Professional Fastpitch league for the Chicago Bandits.
