She was named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year in 2009 and shared Big Ten Player of the Year honors with Maggie Viefhaus in 2010. She threw one of Michigan's seven perfect games on Feb. 23, 2008, an 8-0 win over Birmingham Southern.
Nemitz was selected by the Chicago Bandits as the fourth overall pick in the 2010 National Professional Fastpitch league senior draft. She pitched professionally for four seasons with the Bandits (2010-13), and earned Rookie of the Year in 2010. Nemitz holds a bachelor's degree from U-M in physical education with a minor in health, and is currently working toward her MBA with a focus on marketing at Eastern Michigan University.
