• Michigan is 3-0 this season against Penn State and has totaled 35 runs in three contests against the Nittany Lions.

Brandi Virgil made her first plate appearance of the season in the first game. She laid down a sacrifice bunt in the third inning.

• LHP Haylie Wagner picked up her 13th win of the season in the first game, allowing just two hits. It was the third time this season she has allowed two hits or less in a complete game.

• Michigan leads the all-time series against Penn State, 49-7.

• U-M's 12 hits in the second contest is the highest total of the season.

• Michigan had run-ruled Penn State in all three games this season. The run rule is being up by at least eight runs after five innings.

Ashley Lane was charged with her first error of the season in the second game.

Amanda Chidester now has 36 home runs in her career, putting her fifth on the all-time list.

• Stephanie Kirkpatrcik hit her second home run of the season and fifth of her career. Until this season, she had not hit a home run since 2009.

Stephanie Kirkpatrick's five RBI set a new career high. Her previous best was three, which she accomplished twice. In three games against Penn State this season, she has knocked in nine runs.

• With her pinch-hit single in the first game and double in the second game, Taylor Hasslebach now has three pinch hits on the season. She is the only Wolverine to record a hit as a pinch hitter.
