U-M Junior Catcher Lauren Sweet
On what helps her hit at home ... "Our fans are just so awesome -- seeing the huge crowd out there just fires you up. The Big Ten season is the best part of the year and I just love to play at home and in front of our crowds."
On hitting home runs on two consecutive swings ... "I was seeing the ball, even when I didn't get a hit, I was really seeing it. I felt confident, and that's the biggest thing, just going up there and being aggressive. My second home run was on a first pitch, and I think being aggressive is the biggest thing."
On hitting a game-ending grand slam ... "It was awesome seeing my teammates at home. No way did I go up there thinking I'd hit a home run, you just go up there to hit the ball hard. Sara Driesenga (who was on second) turned around to look at me, and I told her to keep running the bases! It was cool to end the game like that."
On catching Michigan's three pitchers, who gave up one run in 18 innings ... "Our pitching was awesome -- they were stellar. Being behind the plate, I got to see how hard all three girls were working. Pitching is huge in softball, and I feel like everything was on. We all worked together this weekend, there was a lot of trust out there this weekend."
