U-M freshman Kelsey Susalla
On stepping up big as a pinch hitter ... "I just try to stay aggressive, I know when I'm coming in to pinch hit the coaches are counting on me to do something. I try to not take as many pitches and just stay aggressive."
On developing into a more aggressive player ... "I've worked on seeing the ball and picking up on the pitcher's tendencies to get an idea of what she's throwing so I can know what to expect."
On the speed of the college game ... "I'm definitely adjusting to (the speed of the game). So it is slowing down a little for me. I'm still trying to stay really focused and take it one step at a time."
On the enjoyment of playing at Alumni Field ... "It's been very cool; it's a good feeling to get a hit in general but at doing it Alumni Field is really great."
