EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The No. 12-ranked University of Michigan softball team postponed its game at Michigan State today (Saturday, April 13) due to cold weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday (April 14) beginning at 1 p.m. at Secchia Stadium.
The two teams made the decision about 45 minutes before today's scheduled start of 1 p.m. with temperatures still hovering the low thirties.
Michigan and Michigan State are the top two teams in the Big Ten. U-M is currently undefeated in Big Ten Conference play at 10-0. Michigan State carries a record of 7-2. The Wolverines topped the Spartans 21-2 on Friday (April 12) in game one of the three-game series.
