With today's win, Michigan improves to 45-30 in the all-time series against Central Michigan.
Junior first baseman Dorian Shaw's three-run blast in the fifth inning gave her 14 home runs for the year, tying her single-season career high in the category. She also recorded 14 home runs as a sophomore last season.
Senior shortstop Molly Bausher's two-run, game-ending double in the fifth marked the fourth consecutive shortened game for the Wolverines, their longest such streak since 2008, when they won five consecutive games in run-rule fashion.
The Wolverines own a 24-game winning streak at Alumni Field. U-M has not lost at home since day two of the 2008 NCAA Super Regional against Virginia Tech on May 25, 2008.
Freshman pitcher Stephanie Speierman became the third Wolverine pitcher to toss a complete-game one-hitter -- or better -- this season.
