• With today's win, Michigan improves to 45-30 in the all-time series against Central Michigan.

• Junior first baseman Dorian Shaw's three-run blast in the fifth inning gave her 14 home runs for the year, tying her single-season career high in the category. She also recorded 14 home runs as a sophomore last season.

• Senior shortstop Molly Bausher's two-run, game-ending double in the fifth marked the fourth consecutive shortened game for the Wolverines, their longest such streak since 2008, when they won five consecutive games in run-rule fashion.

• The Wolverines own a 24-game winning streak at Alumni Field. U-M has not lost at home since day two of the 2008 NCAA Super Regional against Virginia Tech on May 25, 2008.

• Freshman pitcher Stephanie Speierman became the third Wolverine pitcher to toss a complete-game one-hitter -- or better -- this season.
