Michigan improves to 47-30 all-time against Central Michigan.
U-M's nine runs in the sixth inning are the highest single-inning total of the season. Michigan had an eight-run inning against Michigan State on April 14 and Eastern Michigan on March 21.
Lyndsay Doyle led off for the first time in her career.
Taylor Hasselbach started her first game since starting at first base against Wright State on Feb. 19. It was her second career start at designated player.
Jaclyn Crummey earned her second start of the season in center field. She also started in center against USF on Feb. 29.
Nicole Sappingfield has had a hit in the last 10 games. The streak equals the longest by a Wolverine this season. Ashley Lane had a 10-game hitting streak snapped last week against Western Michigan (April 11).
Today's game marked just the third time that Michigan and its opponent had the same amount of hits. U-M is 2-1 in those games.
Michigan is now 8-0 when scoring at least 10 runs.
The Wolverines are 5-1 against intrastate competition this season.
U-M is now 9-3 in true road games.
