U-M extended its consecutive win streak to 19 games, the longest active streak in the nation. Michigan's 14 straight Big Ten wins is the most since the 2009 team had 17 in a row.
Romero extended her reached base streak to 23 games, a team best.
Romero batted 1-for-2 with a home run, RBI, walk and two runs scored.
Sierra Lawrence went 1-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. She is now batting .333 (4-for-12) with nine RBI with the bases loaded.
Lawrence stole her seventh base of the season. She is 7-for-8 in stolen base attempts this season.
Caitlin Blanchard's sixth inning single pushed her hit streak to 16 games, extending her career best mark. It is also a team high this season.
Blanchard batted 1-for-2 with a walk and one run scored.
Susalla is now batting .538 (7-for-13) with eight RBI as a pinch hitter.
Jaclyn Crummey went 1-for-2 with a single and a sacrifice bunt.
Sara Driesenga started the game and pitched 3.1 innings. She gave up two runs on four hits. She struck out seven and walked four.
Haylie Wagner made her fifth relief appearance and earned the win in 3.2 innings pitched. She gave up one run on six hits. The lefty struck out four without walking a batter.
Brandi Virgil entered as a pinch runner in the fourth inning.
Four of Michigan's five RBI came from freshmen.
U-M is now 9-0 when the team hits one home run.

On being called on to pinch hit in a close game ... "I kept the same one pitch mentality, worked on following the pitcher's tendencies and adjusting to them."
On how coming off the bench helped in her at-bat ... "I knew she was throwing a certain pitch that I wanted to look for. Waiting for that pitch helped a lot and that's what I went for (when I got the hit)."
