Haylie Wagner was the winning pitcher, moving her season record to 32-5 this season. The 32 victories are the most by a freshman and are the fifth-best season total in school history.

• The Wolverines allowed just three runs over the three-game span this weekend.

• Today's game was Michigan's 11th shutout of the season. It was Haylie Wagner's seventh complete-game shutout of the year.

• Michigan was making its 13th consecutive appearance in a regional final. The last time the Wolverines did not advance to the regional final was 1999.

• The Wolverines turned three doubles plays, the first time they have had three in one game since March 19, 1999, against Portland State.

Mandy Gardner made her first appearance as a pinch hitter since April 11 against Western Michigan.

Caitlin Blanchard picked up her third hit as a pinch hitter this season.
