ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Fans can now sign up for University of Michigan softball season tickets, which are on sale now through the Michigan Ticket Office. Tickets are available by phone (734) 764-0247 or on the web at MGoBlue.com/tickets.
By purchasing season tickets, Michigan fans get to witness 17 home games (up from 10 home games in 2012). An entire season of reserved chairback seats can be renewed for $135; reserved bleacher seats are $120.
Head coach Carol Hutchins, the winningest coach in Michigan Athletics history, begins her 29th season at the helm of the Wolverines, who will be going for a sixth consecutive Big Ten championship.
The cost of season tickets offers a 25-percent savings over buying games individually. Season-ticket holders also get the opportunity to meet the coaching staff and student-athletes.
New this year is the ability to transfer tickets electronically. If season-ticket holders cannot attend a game, they are encouraged to go online and transfer individual game tickets to a friend, who may print them out, wiping out the need to deliver a physical ticket.
Headlining the 17-game package is Maize Star Night on Friday, April 5, against Ohio State, as well as the "Pink Game," which returns on Friday, May 3, vs. Northwestern to raise awareness for breast cancer research.
Season tickets will be sent out in early March. Individual game tickets will also go on sale in March.
The home softball season begins Friday, March 22, against Purdue at 4 p.m. at the Wilpon Complex, home of Alumni Field. [ Complete Schedule ]
