Question of the Week: What is your favorite movie?

April 24, 2012

Each week during the 2012 season, will ask each member of the University of Michigan softball team the same question as the "Question of the Week."

Week 12: What is your favorite movie?

Amy Knapp -- "Going the Distance." The movie is full of laughs and awesomeness! I love every part of it.

Becca Garfinkel -- My favorite movie is "Remember the Titans." I love a good sports movie about an underdog, especially one with Ryan Gosling. "Miracle" comes in a close second (even though I prefer hockey to football) mostly because it lacks the Ryan Gosling factor.

Taylor Hasselbach -- "Step Brothers" is definitely my go-to! I have endless quotes from that movie.

Sara Driesenga -- My favorite movie is probably "Sweet Home Alabama." I love Reese Witherspoon! I think she's gorgeous and has such a strong presence as a character. I never get sick of watching it because I love how it ends!

Nicole Sappingfield -- My favorite movie is "Singing in the Rain" because of all of the great songs, dance numbers and of course, Gene Kelly. My mom and I watched it countless times when I was growing up (along with a bunch of other musicals).

Hilary Payne -- My favorite movie is "Save the Last Dance." I'm not sure why I love it so much, but I like the story and never get tired of watching it.

Lauren Sweet -- My favorite movie of all time would have to be "Titanic." I'm a big Leonardo DiCaprio fan. It is an amazing story, and I have loved it since I was little.

Haylie Wagner -- My favorite movie is "Sweet Home Alabama." I like the story behind it, I like love stories and I love Reese Witherspoon in that movie and every other movie!

Stephanie Speierman -- My favorite movie is "Remember the Titans." It is a really inspirational movie with a lot of great quotes. I really like sports movie and this one has probably been my favorite since I saw it about eight years ago.

Bree Evans -- "Twilight" because I love the awkward moment that Edward and Bella have together. I love it so much I named my dog after Bella!

Caitlin Blanchard -- I thoroughly enjoy watching all of the "Harry Potter" movies. I like this series because I'm a nerd and I secretly wish that I had magical powers.

Amanda Chidester -- "Sweet Home Alabama" or "The Notebook" because I love to watch love story movies!!! I don't care if they are predictable I still love them!

Lyndsay Doyle -- I have a lot of favorite movies! One of my favorites is "Life as We Know It" because Katherine Heigl is one of my many favorite actresses. I also love Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock so movies starring them are on my list of favorites as well!

Katie Luetkens -- I have a lot of movies that I love, but I would have to say that my favorite is "The Blind Side." I am a huge fan of Sandra Bullock and I always love a feel-good, inspirational sports movie. I really liked the story and message portrayed and the fact that it was based on a true story makes it even more special. I watch it every time it is on, along with the numerous times I pop it in on my own! It is one of those you could watch over and over again and it never gets old!

Ashley Lane -- I have a lot of favorite movies, but I will have to go with "Sweet Home Alabama." It is a cute love story and has its comical moments as well. Plus, Josh Lucas is a sight for sore eyes!
