When did you know Michigan was the right school for you?
When I came to the January camp my sophomore year. I stepped on campus and saw the big M outside the Big House and got this feeling in my gut like butterflies. It just made me happy! Then I met the coaches and the team and knew it was the right place for me.
Why did you choose your number?
I started travel ball when I was nine-years-old and I wanted to be No. 31 for my favorite player, Mike Piazza. For some reason the printing company couldn't produce that jersey so my coach gave me No. 18 for Darryl Strawberry instead. He has a real firecracker of a personality, so I stuck with it ever since.

Justin Bieber and One Direction because I can belt out the lyrics. They make me smile and put me in a good mood.

Shaun White because he's always pushing the limits and not afraid to be different.

What has been your favorite Michigan memory so far?
Game day for the Michigan-Notre Dame football game. We tailgated as a team and the excitement on campus was unreal! Then being at the game -- which the broke the attendance record -- with flyovers and a shout-out from Beyonce, really brought out the spirit of the school and it was incredible to be able to say I attend the University of Michigan.
What is your favorite book?
The Private Series. It has murder and suspense along with similarities that I can relate to for people my age.
What athlete's career would you most like to have?
Shawn Johnson! She was able to go to the Olympics and use that as a platform to get on TV with shows like Dancing with the Stars and Secret Life of the American Teenager. Now she works with Nike and spends time with charities to make a difference in the word.
What is your ringtone and why?
"One Time" by Justin Bieber because I'm obsessed with him and I love the way he sang when he was younger.
Which celebrity or public figure would you like to be retweeted by?
Justin Bieber because he's the most famous person on the planet and then I would get a lot of followers.
How many bike accidents have you been in on campus so far?
Five: a car rolled through a stop sign and grazed me; a lady's pocketbook got caught on my handlebars and I flipped over them; I crashed into a pedestrian; the other two were small and happened when I almost crashed into people because they couldn't get out of the and I only slightly fell over.
