WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Four members of the No. 22-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team scored points during day two of the Purdue Invitational, held Saturday (Nov. 17) inside the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.
Junior Nikki Hubbard (Granger, Ind./Penn) scored points in two races, finishing sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.33) and 16th in the 100-yard butterfly (57.50). Sophomore Kayla Douglas (Livonia, Mich./Franklin) just missed an 'A' final in the 100-yard backstroke, taking ninth (56.19). The last swimmer to contribute points for the Wolverines on Saturday was senior Katherine Carl (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Lahser), who took 16th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.44).
Sophomore Carey Chen (Vancouver, British Columbia/University Hill Secondary) scored a top-eight finish for the Wolverines in the diving well, finishing sixth off the one-meter board (274.85).
The Wolverines close out competition at the Purdue Invitational on Sunday (Nov. 18). Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m., with finals starting at 4 p.m.
