Denenfeld Joins Women's Tennis Staff as Volunteer Coach
Mark Denenfeld is in his first season as a voluteer assistant coach for the Wolverines.
Denenfeld spent the 2013 dual-match season as an assistant coach for the women's program at Illinois, helping the Illini to a 14-11 overall record and a 6-5 mark in the Big Ten.
Prior to joining the staff at Illinois, Denenfeld played tennis for four seasons (2009-12) at Kalamazoo College, going 46-16 in singles and 41-31 in doubles. He was a two-time All-MIAA first team honoree (2011, 2012) and earned second team honors as a sophomore (2010).He graduated from Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo in 2008 and garnered all-state mention in his final year.
Denenfeld also spent time as an assistant tennis professional at Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek, Mich, after graduating from Kalamazoo.
He graduated in 2012 from Kalamazoo College, earning a degree in English language and literature.
