Ohio State took the first doubles match off court, winning 6-1 at No. 3.

U-M's top pair of junior Alex Najarian and Kate Fahey pulled out a 6-3 win at No. 1 to even the doubles score. Tied at 3-3 and with Najarian back to serve, the Wolverine pair climbed out of a 40-0 hole and did not look back in ripping off three straight games for the win.

The Buckeyes won three straight games en route to a 6-5 lead with the serve. Ruder-Hook and Minor fought off four match points and broke in the final game to send the match to a tiebreaker. It was all OSU in the breaker, as the Buckeyes won 7-2 to take the match's first point.

Ohio State expanded its lead to 3-0 with wins at no. 1 and No. 5.

Fahey got Michigan on the board with a 6-1, 6-4 win over No. 55 Anna Sanford at No. 2. Fahey broke on a deuce point for a 5-4 lead in the second and served out the match in the ensuing game.
