Michigan raced out to 5-1 leads at No. 2 and No. 3 in doubles action. The Wolverine pair of freshman Laura Ucros (Bogota, Colombia/Fundación Nuevo Marymount) and sophomore Ronit Yurovsky (New Kensington, Pa./Plum) coasted to an 8-3 win at No. 3 as the first match off court.
