Michigan raced out to 5-1 leads at No. 2 and No. 3 in doubles action. The Wolverine pair of freshman Laura Ucros (Bogota, Colombia/Fundación Nuevo Marymount) and sophomore Ronit Yurovsky (New Kensington, Pa./Plum) coasted to an 8-3 win at No. 3 as the first match off court.

Virginia stormed back on court No. 2, sending the match to a tiebreaker at 7-7. At the same time, the No. 1 pair of senior Brooke Bolender (Delray Beach, Fla./Kaplan) and junior Emina Bektas (Indianapolis, Ind./New Braunfels) staved off two match points to tie the game at 40-40.

U-M wrapped up the doubles point when Virginia's shot sailed long at No. 2, sealing a 7-2 tiebreak win and an 8-7 match decision. The match at No. 1 was abandoned, on serve with Virginia leading, 7-6.

The Wolverines extended their lead to 2-0 when Zhu eased to a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 5. Virginia answered by winning the next three matches off court, all within three minutes of each other -- at No. 3, No. 1 and No. 4 -- to take a 3-2 lead.

Yurovsky, down a set at No. 2, battled back to get back on serve at 4-3 in the second. She was broken in her next service game, and Danielle Collins served out the match in the next game for the match's deciding fourth point.
