With doubles action played outside, junior Brooke Bolender (Delray Beach, Fla./Kaplan) and freshman Ronit Yurovsky (New Kensington, Pa./Plum) teamed up for Michigan's first doubles win of the day, knocking off Sofie Oyen and Alexandra Cercone of Florida, 8-1. After U-M dropped its second doubles match, the sophomore pair of Kristen Dodge (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) and Sarah Lee (Los Angeles, Calif./Campbell Hall) recorded an 8-3 victory over the Gators' Caroline Hitimana and Brianna Morgan.
With rain coming, the singles moved indoors as U-M matched up against Georgia. The Wolverines dropped their first four singles matches, before Dodge blanked Kellie Jordan, 6-0, 6-0, and freshman Amy Zhu (Newark, Del./Laurel Springs) grabbed a 6-3, 7-5 win over Mackenzie Craft.
