ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team took two-of-three doubles matches from defending national champion Florida to highlight the second day of action at the Wolverine Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 22) at the Varsity Tennis Center.

With doubles action played outside, junior Brooke Bolender (Delray Beach, Fla./Kaplan) and freshman Ronit Yurovsky (New Kensington, Pa./Plum) teamed up for Michigan's first doubles win of the day, knocking off Sofie Oyen and Alexandra Cercone of Florida, 8-1. After U-M dropped its second doubles match, the sophomore pair of Kristen Dodge (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) and Sarah Lee (Los Angeles, Calif./Campbell Hall) recorded an 8-3 victory over the Gators' Caroline Hitimana and Brianna Morgan.

With rain coming, the singles moved indoors as U-M matched up against Georgia. The Wolverines dropped their first four singles matches, before Dodge blanked Kellie Jordan, 6-0, 6-0, and freshman Amy Zhu (Newark, Del./Laurel Springs) grabbed a 6-3, 7-5 win over Mackenzie Craft.

U-M wraps up the Wolverine Invitational tomorrow (Sunday, Sept. 22), with action slated to begin at 9 a.m.
